Vice Chancellor University of Sahiwal Professor Dr. Javed Akhtar has said that the availability of basic educational facilities to the students studying in the university and conducting classes on time is among his priorities.
So that the educational quality of the university is improved and the confidence of the students in the university increases.
Work is also being started on a major development project in the university of Sahiwal with a huge amount of 1 billion 10 crore rupees. These include the construction of a 3-storey academic block which will have 102 classrooms, laboratories and other educational facilities.
These projects will go a long way in strengthening the existing departments and establishing new academic departments in the University.
The Vice-Chancellor said this while detailing the steps being taken for the development of the UOSAHIWAL in his office.
Project Director Dr. Shafiq Hussain and Deputy Registrar Chaudhry Abdul Rahman were also present on the occasion.
Professor Dr. Javed Akhtar said that the project would be completed in a period of one year, in which academic block, administration block, mosque and sports ground would also be constructed.
He further said that Governor Punjab and Chancellor Engineer Baleegh ur Rehman are taking personal interest in the development of Sahiwal University and they have assured full cooperation to solve the problems.
During the meeting at Governor House, the first convocation of the University will be held on the instructions of Governor Punjab in the same year for which the preparations have been started.
Preparation of degrees is in full swing and will be completed on priority basis. In the meeting, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Javed Akhtar also presented a cheque to the governor for the relief money donated by the Sahiwal University teachers and students for the rehabilitation of the flood victims.
University of Sahiwal has started M.Phil in English Language this year and last date of applying is Oct 25, 2022.
