10 year sponsor visa for parents introduced in the UAE

UAE government has introduced new entry permits updating existing options. Now UAE Golden Visa holders can sponsor their parents and get 10 year residency.

This important visa scheme was introduced in the beginning of October 2022. The news has been confirmed by the operation manager of Arabian Business Centre (Amer Centre – Sheikh Zayed Road) Feroz Khan.

“We have issued a 10-year Golden Visa for the parents of a resident. Previously, it was issued for a year.”

The news is also confirmed by a customer care agent who is working at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP).

The recent development is updated facility. In the past an expatriate employee used to sponsor parents for a year’s stay by “paying a deposit as a guarantee for each parent”

Now the good news is that the deposit that used to sponsor parents does not apply to Golden Visa holders. They just need to produce the document to prove that they are the only caretakers of their parents.

The second condition to sponsor parents was that the sponsor must earn Dh20,000 monthly salary. The good thing is that is doesn’t apply to Golden Visa holders.  According to the cost of this 10 year visa, it can be achieved from Dh2,800 to Dh3,800.
