Salesman shot dead by Sahiwal Police Constable

28-year-old Salesman Akhtar is shot dead by a police constable in broad daylight in Pakpattan Chowk Sahiwal district of Pakistan.
After the incident, the accused Police constable Bilal managed to escape from the spot. The heirs protested against the police by keeping the body in the square called Pakpattan Chowk.
According to details, Akhtar, a resident of Shiranwala street, was returning home on his motorcycle after supplying butter and cheese when the policeman’s motorcycle collided with him. Due to which both of them got into a fight.
The policeman tortured the youth. On resistance, the police constable shot three shots from the pistol and killed the youth on the spot. He escaped on a motorcycle after the murder.
The relatives of the deceased kept the body on the road and staged a protest against the Sahiwal police. The police reached the spot and obtained the CCTV footage from the bank and petrol pump located near the incident site.

Constable Bilal, who killed an innocent citizen in broad daylight in Sahiwal city, has been arrested along with the pistol.
During the public protest, DPO Sahiwal fulfilled his promise to arrest the accused before 12 pm as per the condition for opening the road.
SHO Ghala Mandi Sahiwal along with his team made the police department proud by arresting the designated FIR murderer Constable Bilal along with the murder weapon.
The accused has accepted his crime while in custody. The accused has been suspended and DSP Sadar Sahiwal has been appointed as the inquiry officer after issuing a charge sheet for departmental enquiry.
DPO Sahiwal while congratulating the SHO and his team on this arrest said that if the public had not blocked the road and kept the police busy, the accused could have been arrested within the day itself.
DPO Sahiwal has constituted a team headed by DSP City which will collect all the evidence of the case and complete the challan within fourteen days.
The police is the guarantor of the life and property of the people. The law is equal for all, so a case will be registered against those who broke the cars of noble citizens by blocking the road, but in this case, only those who protest violently will be arrested.
