Ranbir Kapoor discusses his and Alia Bhatt’s wins at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards

When discussing his and Alia Bhatt’s victories at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards, Ranbir Kapoor asserts that while Alia’s victory was justifiable, he did not fully deserve to win for Brahmastra.

Best Actor and Best Actress went to Ranbir and Alia, respectively. Alia won for Gangubai Kathiawadi, whereas Ranbir won for Brahmastra. He stated, “Of course I am very grateful ki mujhe yeh sammaan dia” in reference to his victory. For Brahmastra, I don’t think I fully deserve it. Although my performance in Brahmastra was not exceptional, receiving an award is an honor.
He went on to say, “I am very excited that Alia won the award because she was truly deserving of the award in her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi.” That is one of her most memorable performances. When we receive an award, it signifies positive feedback and recognition of our accomplishments. The typical feeling is that we are safe for the time being and won’t experience any stress until the next project. We are safe because this film worked. On to the next step.
