A joint declaration has been issued at the end of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to the United Arab Emirates.
According to the joint statement, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif paid a 2-day official visit on January 12 at the invitation of the President of the UAE Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the President of the UAE Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He was given a guard of honor at the presidential palace.
According to the statement, in the meeting with the President of the UAE Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, discussions were held on promoting bilateral relations and taking concrete steps. The regional, political and security situation was also discussed in this meeting.
In the meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the President of the UAE Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, consideration was also given to increasing mutual cooperation in the political, defense, economic, commercial and cultural sectors.
Joint ventures, mutual cooperation in the field of human resources were considered. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also thanked the UAE President for helping Pakistan in the recent floods.
It has been stated in the announcement that this is the third visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif after assuming office.
UAE announces 3 billion dollars support to Pakistan
The United Arab Emirates has announced additional support of 3 billion dollars to Pakistan, in which 2 billion dollars will be deferred and 1 billion dollars more will be given.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in which the importance of further strengthening the partnership between the two countries was emphasized.
Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum expressed good wishes to Shahbaz Sharif and said that under the leadership of Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan will progress.
Saudi Arab to finance oil products worth one billion US dollars to Pakistan
On the other hand, following the instructions of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman Al Saud, CEO of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan Abdul Rahman Al Murshid and Secretary of Economic Affairs in Pakistan Dr. Kazim Niaz. signed an agreement to finance oil products worth one billion US dollars to Pakistan on Thursday.
The agreement was signed in Islamabad in the presence of Pakistani and Saudi officials.
The purpose of this strategic agreement is to continue the assistance provided by the government of Saudi Arabia to build a sustainable economy for the brotherly country of Pakistan.
