Overstay fine doubled for residency visa holders in the UAE
Overstay fine for tourist and visit visa holders has been decreased.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security has revised the overstay fines for Tourist and residency visa holders.
Typing centre agents in the United Arab Emirates have confirmed that the overstay fine for Tourist and Visit visa holders has been reduced by half. While overstay fine for residency visa holders is doubled.
According to Muneer from Tastahel Documents, UAE has implemented new overstay rules in which Tourist and visit visa holders will have to pay Dh50 a day instead of Dh100 if they overstay. Similarly residency visa holders will have to pay Dh50 a day instead of Dh25 if they overstay.
Last month UAE announced sweeping visa reforms and the above mentioned changes have been implemented as part of those new reforms.
Mohammed Shaheed from a typing centre in Mussafah confirmed that the UAE government has introduced some changes in overstay fines last month and now those are implemented.
The new reforms were also confirmed by GM Al Mas Businessmen Services Abdul Gafoor. He is of the opinion that the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security has officially launched the new visa scheme in which some rules and procedures are introduced.
