UAE government bans working in the midday heat

Companies that violate this ban will be fined 5,000 dirhams per worker.

The Ministry of Human Resources of the United Arab Emirates has banned workers from working outdoors in the midday heat of the season.

According to the leading newspaper of the United Arab Emirates Khaleej Times, this ban will be in effect from 15:30 noon to 3:00 pm from June 15 to September 15. No worker will be allowed to work outdoors during these hours.

According to the report of the newspaper, some sectors, including emergency services, have been exempted from this ban, whose work is of an indispensable nature.

However, workers in these sectors will be provided with water and shade and are required to have first aid kits at the spot.

The reports says that companies that violate this ban will be fined 5,000 dirhams per worker and 50,000 dirhams for multiple violations.

The Ministry of Human Resources of the UAE has requested citizens and residency visa holders to report such violations immediately.
