Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, father of the Emir of Qatar, and his wife Sheikha Moza bint Nasser.
According to the details, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached Dewan Amiri where he was warmly welcomed. The Prime Minister was also presented a guard of honor at the Diwan Amiri.
The Prime Minister thanked the Emir of Qatar’s father for welcoming him and the delegation. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of long-standing and friendly relations between Pakistan and Qatar.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister mentioned the visits of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, father of the Emir of Qatar, to Pakistan in 1999 and 2017.
The Prime Minister appreciated the role played by him in enhancing the relations between the two countries.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan recalled the program “Education First” under the patronage of Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the wife of the Emir of Qatar, and praised the enrollment of underprivileged children in schools including in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister thanked the parents of the Emir of Qatar for hosting two lakh Pakistanis in Qatar and said that these Pakistanis are also playing an important role in the development of Pakistan along with the State of Qatar.
