UAE tops Global Knowledge Index 2022 by the UN

The UAE has crossed another important milestone in the global ranking of technical and vocational education and training.

According to the United Nations Global Knowledge Index 2022, the UAE has been at the top in technical and vocational education.

According to the details, the Global Knowledge Index 2022 has been jointly compiled by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme.

While compiling the index, educational facilities in 132 countries were evaluated, including 11 Arab countries. The review covers areas such as education, innovation, knowledge, economy, technology, and research and development.

It should be noted that the ranking of the Global Knowledge Index helps different countries to understand in which areas they need development and improvement.

UAE Diplomatic Adviser Dr. Anwar Gargash has said in a message on his Twitter account that coming to the top of the global ranking is a “heartwarming achievement” for the emirate.

According to the Global Knowledge Index released in the same month, the United States, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland and the Netherlands are also in the race.

Three more Gulf countries made it to the top 50. Among them, Qatar is 37th, Saudi Arabia is 43rd and Kuwait is 47th.

The report states that the UAE’s key features include university-level education and the promotion of education through the Internet.
