Army Chief General Asim Munir visits UAE and Saudi Arabia
Army Chief will meet the senior leadership of the brotherly countries.

Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir is on a six-day official visit to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The tour will continue till January 10.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the Army Chief will meet the senior leadership of the brotherly countries. Issues of mutual interest, military cooperation and bilateral issues will be discussed in the meeting.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir met Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. Saudi Defense Minister congratulated General Asim Munir on assuming the post of Army Chief.
The Chief of General Staff of Saudi Arabia, Lt. Gen. Fayaz bin Hamid Al-Rawaili, also participated in this meeting.
The Saudi Defense Minister’s Twitter account has congratulated General Syed Asim Munir on becoming the Army Chief and shared a photo of the meeting between the two.
He further wrote in the tweet that there was a need to strengthen the relations between the two countries. The situation of the region and other international issues were also discussed in the meeting.
It should be noted that this is the first foreign visit of Army Chief General Asim Munir. Every army chief of Pakistan first visits Saudi Arabia after assuming office. The reason for this is the military and economic relations between the two countries.
