UAE displays Etihad Rail coach on National day
The train will have capacity of more than 400 passengers to come on board.
The Etihad rail coach showed its first glimpse on Friday when the President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan waved and greeted the people sitting inside the Etihad rail coach.
The revolutionary railway coach with passengers inside was part of the 51st National day celebrations in Abu Dhabi. The show was inside a tunnel-shaped structure motorized by advanced technologies, fantastic light works, a live orchestra, and superb performances.
When the innovative rail coach got positioned on a high stand and slowly entered the hall with people sitting inside the coach on comfortable seats, it looked so cultured and sophisticated. The rail consists of two seats on each side.
The residents including children and adults were waving from the windows. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed also waved back to the people sitting inside the train. The President looked very pleased. He felt pride in the success of this project.
Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum with their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman, Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi of Sharjah, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi of Fujairah, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi of Ras Al Khaimah, and Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla of Umm Al Quwain, all the Rulers of Emirates were also included as the attendees of the show.
The train will connect and travel to 11 cities in the UAE region. This includes Al Sila, Fujairah, Al Ruwais, Al Mirfa, Sharjah, Dubai, Al Dhaid, and Abu Dhabi.
The traveling time from Abu Dhabi to Dubai will be just 50 mins. And from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah in 100 mins. The passenger train has a capacity of 400 passengers and runs at a speed of 200kmph.
