Elon Musk reacts to the Twitter disruption

Elon Musk, a billionaire and the CEO of Twitter, responded on Monday to the global slowdown of his platform after thousands of users reported difficulty accessing it.

The company stated that it was working to resolve the issue that numerous Twitter users reported experiencing when attempting to access links from other websites and the social media platform run by Elon Musk.

“We made an internal modification that had some unforeseen consequences. “We’re working on this right now and will publish an update when it’s rectified,” Twitter said.

A user pointed out that a number of people who had expressed their intention to leave Twitter after complaining about Musk’s takeover were actually the first to point out a problem with Twitter.

Musk said in response to the tweet, ” Sighing, this platform is so fragile. will soon be fixed.”

Downdetector, which tracks outages by combining status reports from a variety of sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform, reports that there were more than 8,000 instances of individuals reporting issues with the social media platform.

This was NetBlocks’ sixth major outage this year, up from three during the same time last year. The problem also affected video and image content, the internet watchdog said.

Alp Toker, Director of NetBlocks, stated to Reuters, “Error messages supplied by Twitter’s link sharing platform and internal API point to problems with the platform’s microservices, which are having a knock-on effect on other aspects of the service.”

“This suggests that Twitter has not been testing its updates effectively before making them available to the public.”

The stage was reestablished at around 11:09pm (PST).
