Portuguese professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is set to sign a massive £175million-a-year deal with Saudi Arabia’s football Club Al-Nassr.
According to the details, Saudi Arabian football club Al Nassr was formed in 1955 and based in Riyadh. Portugal’s star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is all set to make a fresh start with it in the new year.
A spanish newspaper has claimed that he will sign a contract with Al Nassr FC until 2030 and the signing and announcement will be made soon.
According to media reports, 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo will play for the Saudi club for two-and-a-half years under the contract, after which he will serve as an ambassador. The amount of the star footballer’s contract will be increased over time, which will be around 200 million euros in total.
After this deal, Cristiano Ronaldo will become the highest paid player in the world. Talks between Cristiano Ronaldo and the Saudi club had been going on for some time but progress was made last week.
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently in Dubai with his family and the announcement of the contract with the Saudi Arabian football club is expected very soon. There is also a possibility of an advertising deal with the player.
It is to be noted that during the FIFA World Cup 2022, Saudi Sports Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud expressed his interest in seeing Cristiano Ronaldo play in Saudi Arabia.
